Like, really energetic? This morning, at 4:00 AM, I found myself reflecting on “body image” — a topic that hit me hard. It struck me that so many of us struggle with how we perceive our bodies. The slender often yearn for a fuller figure, while those with curves may wish for a more slender look. It made me realize that beauty is truly relative!

But let’s not be too hard on ourselves. Beyond a physical change in size or shape, what really matters is cultivating healthy thoughts and habits that bring peace with ourselves. Here are some suggestions for developing a healthier outlook on how you see your body:

Change your inner voice
When you catch yourself thinking, “I’m so fat” or “My feet are too big,” challenge those thoughts. Replace them with positive affirmations like, “My legs are strong and capable,” “I am loved by my family and friends for who I am,” or “I appreciate the unique qualities that make me, me.” Repeat this exercise whenever negativity arises.

Prioritize your health
Your health is far more valuable than any outward appearance. Nourish your body with healthy foods and engage in regular physical activity. These habits will not only improve your well-being but also enhance your natural beauty.

Dress simply and tastefully
When choosing clothes, styling your hair, or applying makeup, don’t overdo it. Use these things sparingly to accentuate what’s already beautiful about you.

Accept compliments graciously
When someone says, “You look beautiful,” or “I love your hair,” take it at face value. Don’t overthink it. Appreciate the kindness, and let it lift your spirits.

Focus on your non-physical qualities
Think about your kindness, your warmth, your love for those around you, and your perseverance. These qualities hold far more value than physical appearance. Embrace these strengths and remember that everyone has a unique mix of strengths and weaknesses.

Consider God’s perspective on your creation
You were made beautifully and wonderfully. If God looks at you with awe, then it’s your responsibility to appreciate and care for the creation He made in you.

Let’s remember: true beauty comes from within, and peace with ourselves is the real goal.

You know those mornings when you wake up feeling incredibly motivated and full of energy?
